Juan Valdez® has a long history in the coffee industry. First created as a character spokesperson for Colombian coffee in 1959, the present-day company was established in 2002 and operates the Juan Valdez Café, a multinational coffeehouse chain. The Juan Valdez brand coffee beans are sold in grocery stores and the company is looking to expand its presence in the retail market.
